Uniting (Methodist) Church
High Street, Maitland

B. 1881 Henry Willis & Sons, London.
Reb. 1959 S.T. Noad & Son, 1994 Ian D Brown
2m., 20 sp. st., 7c., el.pn.

From Historic Pipe Organs of Maitland booklet (Hunter District Organ Music Society, 2005):

The church was built in 1859 amd the organ was built by Henry Willis & Sons of London in 1881, with pipes across the front of the church and tracker action.

In 1958, the front of the church was rearranged and the organ was rebuilt and altered by S.T. Noad & Son, the pipes being separated into two cases, one in each front corner of the church, above flood level. The case on the right contains the Swell, the Pedal Bourdon and the console and on the left, the Great and Pedal Open Diapason.

The organ was refurbished and repaired by Ian D Brown & Associates of Ballina in 1994.
