This brick church in the Gothic style was designed by architects Oakden, Addison & Kemp and opened on 27 July 1890.1 While it closed for worship in 1970, the building still remains and makes a major contribution to the local townscape.

The organ was built by Fincham & Hobday at a cost of £415 and opened by W.H. Nott on 25 November 1891.2 The casework had splayed flats at the corners (identical to those employed at St Patrick's Church, Albury) and an extended mechanical action console. The organ was removed and rebuilt by George Fincham & Sons Pty Ltd in 1970 with considerable tonal alterations, new action and console and façade for the Methodist Church, Kyabram, in northern Victoria.3
